Wheaton’s challenge went beyond aging software. Each mining partner reported data differently: formats, file types, and terminology varied widely. Because forecasting models still depended on human judgment, even minor input discrepancies cascaded into major inconsistencies across sites.

Every TTT engagement begins with a Discovery phase to set the foundation. We started by auditing the ecosystem to identify the root causes of data fragmentation and unify Wheaton's teams behind a shared roadmap. By moving immediately into design-centered research, we targeted the specific friction points stalling their operations:

We built a machine learning–based ingestion pipeline that uses Artificial Intelligence to parse PDFs and other partner data sources into standardized JSON structures. This approach creates a clean, accurate, and scalable data foundation while respecting the diversity of reporting across Wheaton’s partner network; reducing manual work, increasing accuracy, and improving visibility.
Life of Mine Forecasting made consistent
Wheaton’s team brought deep expertise to Life of Mine forecasting, relying on their knowledge and intuition to guide critical calculations. While this expert-driven approach worked well, it could lead to slight variations in results depending on who performed the forecast. Together, we formalized these methods and embedded them into algorithms that deliver consistent, transparent, and data-driven results across the organization.
Smoother user experience and future-ready foundations
We designed a user-friendly interface that makes complex operational and forecasting data easy to explore, interpret, and act on. This made the platform easier to use and centralized information across the company to make the OMS the go-to for their users.
